Excellent Ka-bar Style WWII USN MK2 Fighting Knife & Scabbard Made by Camillus |
NEW ! Here is a Fine Condition WWII Navy Fighting Knife & Scabbard ! It is a Ka-Bar pattern and most of this style were called, “Ka-Bars” but this one is actually made by Camillus. The front of the guard is marked “U.S.N. Mark 2 Camillus, N.Y.” The original canvas and fiberglass scabbard is marked on one side, “ U.S.N. MK.2” and on the other side, “NORD-8114 B M Co ¼ vp.” The knife has a blade right at seven inches long, with a total length of 12 inches. The turned wood handle is still in good shape and tight, and there is quite a bit of bluing still on the blade, which is a bit dull but could easily be given a sharp edge. A Great Displaying and still Quite Functional Late WWII Navy Fighting Knife ! [ L.L.]

Fine Early WWII M1917A1 Helmet |
NEW !
Here is an Excellent Original U.S. M1917A1 WWII Helmet ! It has an original improved liner and chinstrap, that was adopted in 1936, and both helmet and liner are in very good condition. The rough textured olive drab green paint on the exterior of the shell is 90% or better, as is the smoother green on the interior of the shell. The leather liner and sewn chinstrap are both in very good condition as well. The only marking I see anywhere are the letter and number, “4B” stamped on the inner brim of the shell, which indicates manufacture by the McCord Radiator Company, likely in 1941. A Nice M1917A1 Helmet just as it would have been issued early WWII, Pearl Harbor, Wake Island, Guam, etc. ! [ L.L. ]

Nice Little Stag Handle Side or Hunting Knife Manufactured by Anton Winton, Jr. in Solingen ca. 1890s-1900s. |
NEW !
Here is a Nice Late 1800’s or Early 1900s Side or Boot Knife with Stag Handles & Scabbard ! The little knife measures right at 8.125 inches long, with the blade being 4.25 inches long. The blade shows several little use nicks and the very point of the tip is broken, but rusting or pitting is at a minimum. Stamped on one side of the blade is a mark of, “ A W J r “ above a knight figure, with the word “Solingen” below, which indicates the little knife was manufactured by Anton Wingen, Jr. in Solingen, Germany. Anton started his knife business in 1888, and this appears to be one of his earlier products. Both stag handles are in good tight shape, with no chips or cracks, and attached with three iron or steel pins. The little leather scabbard has German silver fittings and the seam is still tight. The leather has shrunk some however, and the knife fits very tightly, resulting in a cut in the bottom edge just above the tip, and the blade lacking about .25 of an inch fitting completely in it. Still a collectible blade in its own right, the knife would also look correct in a Civil War living historian’s gear ! [ L.L. ]

Nice Original Pair of 19th Century Shooting Glasses |
NEW !
Here is an Excellent Pair of Mid to late 1800’s Shooter’s Glasses or Sun Glasses ! They are dark amber, almost orange in color, with the typical centered circles that are dark but clear, surrounded by a frosted circle. The nose bridge piece is nicely silver or nickel plated as are the frames and ear pieces, though those are a bit more worn. I can find no maker’s mark anywhere. The glasses are about 4 inches across with ear pieces that are about 5.5 inches long. Often referred to as Civil War Sharpshooter’s glasses, though there is little to no evidence to support that. A Nice Pair of Early Shooter’s Glasses, often misidentified as Civil War Sharpshooter glasses ! [ L.L.]
